Picture This is very excited to announce a one day art event at the "The Encore". This will be a great opportunity to view the artwork of over 20 local artists in an upscale condominium highrise setting in downtown Nashville. The Encore is a new building located on Demonbreum between 3rd & 4th avenues across the street from the symphony hall. This event is this Saturday May 9, 2009 from 11:00 am ~ 7:00 pm. Artist's will be available to answer questions and refreshments will be served.

We are now in our new location

We are happy to say that we have just spent our first full week open for business in our new location and we are loving all the space. We now have a full blown gallery with over 25 artists on display, come by and check out our new digs. Our sign isn't up yet but there are signs in the windows. We are between Publix and Supercuts in the Oakwood Commons Shopping center.

Picture This will be open for business in our new location on Monday April 20, 2009 at 10am. Our featured artists will begin moving in on Tuesday April 21, 2009, stop by and see us.

Finished scraping glue off of the floor. We will be moving the framing area on tuesday. The "Artist Gallery" is now full, we will have a wonderful and varried display of artwork.

Our first show in the new Picture This Gallery

We are so excited to be moving to our new location sometime during the weekend of
April 10-12, 2009. We will have about 1000sf more space and those of you that have been in our store lately know that we need more room. We will be expanding our "Gallery" and will be able to accommodate the artwork of up to 30 different artists, some that you have seen before and many that you have not seen in our gallery before.

We are very excited to announce that our first art show will be with Kathy Chester Studios. This show will feature the artwork of well know local artist Kathy Chester and the work of her students. Students age range from 7 to adult.

Remodeling is going slower than planed

The original plan was to move by this weekend, April 5, 2009. That didn't work out, now we are shooting for April, 16th or 17th.

Picture This is MOVING

Picture This began construction on our new galley on Saturday March 28th. We will be moving one block east on Lebanon road into the Oakwood Commons Shopping Center, on the right of Publix. We will be expanding the gallery and will display work from 35 different artists. We are hoping to move the store sometime the week of April 5th.

"Fall into Green" Arts Festival at Long Hunter State Park

Picture This is calling for Artists and Artisans to apply for a space in our fall Arts Festival September 19th & 20th, 2009 "Fall into Green". Fall into Green Arts Festival is a family-friendly event where people will view beautiful art and learn about the natural environment of Long Hunter State Park. This will be accomplished through a wide range of activities for both adults and children, which include: high quality artists, hands-on activities, great food, exhibits and crafts, go-green vendors, music, children’s zone and much more.

This unique event will provide exceptional opportunities for environmental education and we need your help to make it a success. Proceeds will go directly to The Friends of Long Hunter State Park for new restrooms in a dog friendly area of the park.

We invite you to apply for our show of hand-made arts and crafts. Vendors are selected through a jury process. The booths will fill up fast, so please apply early, as some categories will fill up early.
